Michael Jackson is STILL the King of Pop

He might be gone, but his record sales are still proving that his legacy is truly an amazing one. Not only that, his music truly lives on forever. Michael Jackson sold a whopping 1.1 million albums last week during the tally chart week ending July 12. In total, since his death, he has sold 3.2 million albums. I'm sure it'll still run like this for a while. My Michael Jackson discography is complete. How about yours?

Michael Jackson is Indeed the King of Pop

If you don't think that this man ruled the charts and the music world, then think again. He has sold over 750 million records in his career and is still selling records like hot cakes.
Michael Jackson's music truly lives forever and we've got the numbers to prove it. Jackson takes 9 spots in the top 10 of Billboard's Top Pop Catalog chart in this week's chart issue. 9 SPOTS! WHO DOES THAT???

Albums such as Off the Wall, Thriller, Bad, Dangerous, HIStory, and Invincible all charted. Even his major label greatest hits collections and a Jackson 5 album charted. Wonderful. Michael Jackson is timeless you guys. He is truly missed, for real. My heart is astounded at such great news.

In total, he has sold 422,000 copies in albums and singles this week. This is posthumous history in the making. No one has done this since Elvis, I believe. R.I.P. to the both of them!

The Black Eyed Peas Reign the Charts

In this week chart success story, the Black Eyed Peas destroy at least eleven charts in Billboard chart issue this week. This in all honesty is a first for the group, scoring their first #1 song in the country with "Boom Boom Pow" and their first #1 album with The E.N.D. "Boom Boom Pow" has been at the top spot for eleven weeks now and The E.N.D. sold 304,000 copies in it's first week. They truly deserve this. The album is great you all, so I recommend you buy it, for real.

Other debuts on the album chart were Pleasure P's The Introduction of Marcus Cooper, charting at #10 for the 1st week, selling 39,000 copies. This is Pleasure P's solo debut, following his departure from R&B group Pretty Ricky. Personally, I couldn't really bite into this one. It's a bit premature. Mos Def's recent album The Ecstatic stomped on at #9.

As for the singles charts, the Black Eyed Peas also hold the #2 spot with their brand new single, "I Gotta Feeling". Keri Hilson keeps it cute and consistent, staying at #3 with "Knock You Down". Lady GaGa glides up one spot from #6 to #5 with "LoveGame". "Fire Burning" from Sean Kingston climbs a spot as well from #9 to #8.

Eminem Makes Another Great Single Debut

In this week's Billboard chart issue, the Black Eyed Peas' still dominate the Billboard Hot 100 at #1 with "Boom Boom Pow". But this week's great debut was lead by the one and only Eminem. Eminem is proving that he's back and ready to take over the rap throne with "We Made You". The new song debuted at #9, selling 167,o00. However, that's a bit disturbing due to the fact that his last single sold an impressive 418,000 in it's first week this past February.

Green Day's new single "Know Your Enemy" was another hot shot debut this week, charting at #40. That's their best debut on the chart in their career.

The top 10 are as follows:

1. "Boom Boom Pow", Black Eyed Peas

2. "Poker Face", Lady GaGa

3. "Right Round", Flo Rida

4. "The Climb", Miley Cyrus (her highest chart peak yet)

5. "Kiss Me Thru the Phone", Soulja Boy Tell 'Em feat. Sammie

6. "Day 'n' Nite", Kid Cudi

7. "Blame It", Jamie Foxx feat. T-Pain

8. "Dead and Gone", T.I. feat. Justin Timberlake

9. "We Made You", Eminem

10. "You Found Me", The Fray
