Mary's Brand New Single

R&B Grammy winner Mary J. Blige is stepping back into the music scene to follow-up her 2007 release, Growing Pains. Blige released her new single last week featuring rapper/singer Drake called, "The One". The song is produced by Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins for her upcoming, yet to be titled album. The project should be out in August of this year.

Blige is definitely delivering something a little different on this track, staying in touch with the use of auto-tune, something most artists are using today. I'm sure she'll stay as relevant as she has been for all of these years. Major props to Mary. Listen to the song below.

Fake Drake Album Released; Lawsuit Pending

An unauthorized album by rapper Drake entitled, The Girls Love Drake, has been released this week without permission from the artist or his label, Young Money. The album includes two songs credited to Young Money ("The Best I Ever Had" and "Every Girl"). If the album was authorized, the album would've debuted at #101 on Billboard Hot 200 album chart and #1 on Billboard's Heatseekers.

After finding the album on iTunes, Drake's management sent a cease-and-desist notice to the retailer, which has since removed it. At press time, the album was still available on Rhapsody and Amazon, although Drake's manager Al Branch says he's having it removed from these retailers as well.

"This is a straight bootleg, a scandal. We are behind promoting records at radio, but haven't sold it," Al Branch, Drake's manager, tells Billboard.com. "iTunes' position is that they are a store and they stock everything. They have a waiver and as long as people sign it and are responsible for the product they submit, then they go for it."

Branch also says that Drake plans to file a lawsuit against Canadian Money Entertainment, which he says isn't in connection with Drake or Young Money, the Lil Wayne-owned label that Drake is affiliated with.

Over a year ago, it was speculated that Alicia Keys was a home wrecker, interfering in the marriage of Swizz Beatz and his wife, R&B hopeful Mashonda. Both Keys and Beatz would deny the rumors, stating that the information was false.

However, Swizz has come out of the closet and stating that his relationship with Keys is blissful. In the song "The Best I Ever Had" that he recorded with new actor-turned-rapper Drake, Swizz spit out the following:
"Wake up in the morning and my baby cooked me breakfast, A's naked wearing nothing on but a necklace … Yeah, she say she wanna treat me like a king; I get big gifts so the money ain't a damn thing She gave me a party at the Guggenheim … What's next? The ring? The baby? She really loves me!"

So why was the relationship kept on the DL for so long? He said in a recent interview that what he and Keys have is precious.
