Outstanding CD Release: Jordin Sparks - Battefield

Jordin Sparks' sophomore release Battefield sets her apart from the American Idol studio treatment she had on her first album and provides a pack of R&B/pop tunes from today's major hitmakers. From teaming up with Ryan Tedder to T-Pain, Battefield showcases a big bag of products that are stellar in writing, producing, and the amazing stylings of Sparks' voice. The album starts of very upbeat with the thumpy, empowering "Walking on Snow", telling a boy that everything he does is pointless from now on. The title track "Battlefield" is one of the best ballads on this joint, starting off a tad bit slow, but by the mid-section, Sparks picks it up with a lot screams and vocal layers. Other stand out tracks are "S.O.S. (Let the Music Play)", "It Takes More", and "Emergency (911)".

This is definitely worth the buy. Her best material to date and she's just getting started FOR REAL! Jordin isn't playing. Battefield is in stores now!

New Music: Jordin Sparks - "It Takes More"

Jordin Sparks just keeps delivering tracks on the webs and everything we're hearing is outstanding. She has definitely worked hard on her upcoming album Battlefield and I'm sure that this album will be proof that taking your time on creating an album is truly rewarding. "It Takes More" is a pop/R&B song speaking to a guy about how it takes much more than just giving gifts and spoiling their mate. The small things matter. It's not easy.

New Music: Jordin Sparks - "S.O.S. (Let the Music Play)"

Jordin Sparks is killing me softly with her new songs. A mastered version of her song "S.O.S." has been leaked this past weekend and it's so incredible. Dance pop to the fullest, with a big, killer voice. This songs gives me '80's feel through and through. If this song is not on her new album Battlefield (out July 21), this I will be disappointed. Music Video: Jordin Sparks "Battlefield"

The video for Jordin Sparks current hit, "Battlefield", has been released and it's a great one. Jordin is beautiful and this song is beyond amazing. GO JORDIN! The video was directed by Philip Andelman. So far, the song has peaked at #32 on the Billboard Hot 100 with 125,000 singles sold. Peep the video in full length below.

Jordin Sparks' "Battlefield"

The youngest winner of American Idol and one of my faves, Jordin Sparks, is currently putting the finishing touches on her sophomore album. The album has yet to be titled, but in the meantime, a song has been released. The pop/rock tune "Battlefield" instantly grasped my attention. The lyrics and production (Ryan Tedder) are amazing. Jordin's voice is on point. If released as her lead single for her upcoming effort, I think it would be a hit.

Jordin Sparks' album should be released on July 14, 2009.
